| What others are saying about Vegetarian Burgers| Carrot Patties vegetarian burgers | | These Golden Jewels are so good. We like to eat them hot as a burger with mayo and tomato slices and crisp green lettuce, or ground mustard or even cold with a piece of cheese. You might like to experiment with different spices and flavorings that appeal to your family, a very versatile dish.2 cups shredded carrots
2 eggs beaten
1/2 c mayo
2 TBS Olive oil
1/4 cup finely chopped onion (I like red or white)
1/2 TBS Chopped Garlic (or to taste)
6 cups of soft breadcrumbs
salt pepper parsley to taste
4 cups whole wheat flake cereal, crushedoven to 375* F Place carrots in a bowl, and microwave until tender for 2-3 minutes. (we do not have a microwave so I just put them in a steam basket over boiling water for a couple minutes)In a large bowl stir together the beaten eggs, mayo, onion, garlic, oil, seasonings and carrots. Add the breadcrumbs and mix till evenly blended.
Shape the mixture into patty portions then dip into the cereal to coat. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes, turning half way through. They are done when golden brown.Enjoy!

| | | Have you ever found a foreign object in your food?. | | I have often read about people finding strange objects in their food. This reminded me of the time when i was cooking vegetarian burgers for me and my daughter, who was a baby at the time.
I was cutting up the burger for her and found a bit of plastic wrapping inside the burger.
I wrote a letter of complaint to the company who made the burgers. They sent me about £30 in vouchers and a letter of apology taking full responsibility. It turned out that some of the shrink wrap that they used to wrap their products had somehow got inside the burger.
Have you ever found a foreign object in your food and what action did you take, if any?
| | Stretching One's Imagination and Having Fun | | I don't know how many of you are into "role-playing" in other type of forums...I happen to be a member of the Lord of the Rings Fanatic Plaza where one can join a kingdom and be a Hobbit, Minon of Mordor, an Elf, and maybe it should come to no surprise to anyone here, that I'm a wizard there. One of the things they have at each "kingdom" are pubs/restaurants. They are places that one came come into an imaginary pub/restaurant setting as their character and interact with other patrons there. So thought, heck why not have something like this here? We can come to this imaginary place interact with fellow MyLotters, talk about whatever is on your mind, while enjoying a hearty meal and a good beverage of your choice. Now I actually do have this role-playing restaurant at another forum, and I call it Le Jardin Enchanté (The Enchanted Garden) and I am of course the proprietor of this wonderful establishment.Setting: Imagine yourself in a beautiful picturesque typically English countryside. Maybe you've been traveling awhile and you're a bit weary, not to mentioned famished and thirsty. You are driving along a small country road, when all of a sudden you see a quaint, English... | |
