What others are saying about Animal Rights Book
Significance of meatless day and animal rights
The main aim of this meatless day is to create awareness in the mind of people in regard to the cruelty towards animals. I am not against non-vegetarians but personally feel it is time human had a second thought when eating an animal. Just think it was killed to satisfy your appetite. After all we are all creation of god and these animals also have the right to live. Animals should not be harrassed for shows/circus or races as it is also a type of explotiation by human beings. It is time we love and protect these animals as many of them are decreasing day by day. If one denies Animal Rights a day may come when our grandchildren will have these animals only in the books and pictures and the zoos will be extinct. What do my mylotting friends wish to say regarding this. Do share your views and happy mylotting.
Animal Rights?
In an article titled "animal rights?" in the March issue of Think Magazine, (p. 7), I read this quote: "According to the guidelines, such destruction of human embryos is justified by, among other things the prospect that the use resulting cells ma reduce the need to use 'laboratory animals' for drug testing."How do you react to that quote?
Tradition or Animal Rights?
I just read in a newspaper article that the indigenous arctics are allowed to hunt polar bears as it is part of their traditions. Do you think that it is fair to kill off animals for tradition?
I'm all for Animal Rights but Sea Kittens???
I happen to love animals- dogs, cats, anything cute and cuddly. Animal abuse is appalling and horrible but I think PETA is way over the top on this one. I came across this while surfing around for salmon recipes. I laughed so hard, no offense to vegetarians but this is quite possibly the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. Here's a link:http://www.peta.org/sea_kittens/index.aspThat's right- Fish are no longer fish- they are SEA KITTENS!!!Huh? What? Are they actually serious? I guess if they wanted people to talk about it- this latest campaign worked. I just wonder if they know that it is because it is stupid. I understand they are trying to protect animals but come on!! Sea Kitten? So how do you like your sea kitten? I like mine with a lemon butter sauce with some mashed potatoes. So what say you? Do you think this is really over the top stupid or do you agree? I'd like to hear some opinions. Thanks for reading (and laughing, like I know most of you will do).
animal rights
hey guys, my sister works in a lab for medical research. Although there are ethical procedures, i cant help but feel all squeezy when she tells me that she has to sacrifice animals for research. I think that its worth it for the benifits that it brings to mankind, but im wondering is there wouldnt be another way without killing innocent animals..even if they are rate:S!!!!! please let me know what you think about this topic.
do you support the idea of "Animal Rights"?
We love animal and we don't want to hurt them and we want to protect them from being abused. No doubt. But, is it right that human play God, try to apply Animal Rights? It's kind of un-nature, what do you think?
Animal rights group throws flour on fur-clad Lohan
"PARIS – U.S. actress Lindsay Lohan has been pelted with a flour bomb on arrival at a Paris nightclub wearing a fur stole.Animal rights activists showered the 22-year-old actress with flour when she went to the VIP Room Theater in the early hours of Saturday with her friend, disc jockey Samantha Ronson. The owner of the nightclub helped Lohan dust off her blue sequined dress and black stole before she posed on the red carpet."http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081116/ap_en_ce/eu_france_people_lohan;_ylt=Av.evg8fM4nW98h.RcC67ARxFb8CLMAO!!! bout time somebody brought her down a peg or two! i find this whole thing hiliarious, she seems to have gotten very snotty lately with a "better than thou" type of attitude. i could have sworn that Lohan posed for a PETA ad once...i must be wrong though otherwise they'd be throwing a crap fit about this. the article is very short, bummer that and there are no pictures, DAMN! lol! and is it just me, but has she gotten even SKINNIER?!
